Samsung launched a ‘reliability-plus’ version of the 2835 LEDs
Already the most popular LED package platform, Samsung’s 2835 LEDs are widely used in many retrofit lamps around the world. To expand this usage, Samsung has launched a ‘reliability-plus’ version of the 2835 LEDs, referred to as the LM281B+ Pro.
By upgrading Samsung’s highly successful 2835 packaging structure, the LM281B+ Pro delivers an exceptionally high degree of reliability with a surprisingly long lifetime. The new structure increases the temperature cycle to 500 cycles between -45℃ and 125℃* — more than double that of the standard 2835 LEDs, making it especially resistant to variations in humidity, temperature, and sulfurization. These advantages significantly lower any possibility of a blackout, therein allowing luminaires to last much longer than the typical timeframe for a standard 2835 LED.
Luminaire manufacturers can apply the LM281B+ Pro to most ambient fixtures for the best cost-optimized, extra-reliability solutions in the widest range of applications today.
The LM281B+ Pro is now being mass produced in several color temperature versions ranging from 2700K to 6500K, with CRI 80 and 90 options.
